No compression on left bank

ok so awhile ago i did a head gasket job on my car for both heads and when i put it all back together It would start if i gave it some throttle but it would die once i got off it. the spark plugs would get carbon and gas fouled also no compression on left bank cylinders but good compression on right. when i was putting the car back together i did the proper procedures for the valve lash and top dead center also did the rocker arm tightening procedure. Any ideas?

Re: No compression on left bank

How experienced are you at doing this type of work ? The easiest thing to double check at this point is the valve adjustment. It's very possible that's the only thing wrong. If you haven't done it a bunch of times ask someone to help you who has.

Re: No compression on left bank

Somebody here had the same problem and it was a mis-placed intake gasket on one side.

Re: No compression on left bank

not intake gasket--probably loosen the valves on that side a turn and chek compression--did you install head gaskets with right side facing up--if you install them wrong they can leak between cylinders-example #1 going on compression stroke and # 3 piston is going down (swaping compression)

Re: No compression on left bank

that means they bent because the valves hit the piston -what about the valves-need to do leak down test or pull the head--you know you can adjust all the valves when your #1 TDC and #6 TDC right

Re: No compression on left bank

You have very well bent thw valves, Pull head and check. One bent push rod does not explain No compression on a whole bank.
