ok so awhile ago i did a head gasket job on my car for both heads and when i put it all back together It would start if i gave it some throttle but it would die once i got off it. the spark plugs would get carbon and gas fouled also no compression on left bank cylinders but good compression on right. when i was putting the car back together i did the proper procedures for the valve lash and top dead center also did the rocker arm tightening procedure. Any ideas?
How experienced are you at doing this type of work ? The easiest thing to double check at this point is the valve adjustment. It's very possible that's the only thing wrong. If you haven't done it a bunch of times ask someone to help you who has.
not intake gasket--probably loosen the valves on that side a turn and chek compression--did you install head gaskets with right side facing up--if you install them wrong they can leak between cylinders-example #1 going on compression stroke and # 3 piston is going down (swaping compression)
im now doing a whole engine rebuild im pulling the engine out replacing the crankshaft, camshaft, and a piston that broken and fell into the crankcase because the dude thats helpin me dropped a damn drill bit into the cylinder through the sparkplug hole...if any of you live in tx feel free to stop by and help..lol
