I have a 2000 Camaro V6 5spd. and recently when ive been taking it to high rpms...at about 4500-5000 it starts to lag heavily and the rpms VERY slowly increase from that point on till redline. i figured that it must be either a fuel or ignition problem, so i replaced the fuel filter, put fuel injector cleaner in it, replaced the spark plugs, and put accel spark plug wires on, but it still continues to lag. does anyone know what the problem may be? i'm going to buy a OBD-II diagnostic scanner here in the next few days to see if a problem can be diagnosed, but anyone who may have had a similar problem, or may know what the problem may be, if you can help, it'd be appreciated. a friend said it COULD be my distributor also, but i'd like to pinpoint the problem before layin down a couple hundred on a new distributor.

may be slow...but i roll in style ;o)
