Question

I just bought a 1993 Camaro Z28, The security system that came with this car
is driving me nuts. You can't even get the oil changed without having to prop the door open. At first the doors would auto lock when starting the car, and lock 30 seconds after closing the door, but now none of this happens. Instead the alarm goes nuts when you start the car. The keychain remote has 2 buttons......I have no idea what the small one is for.

Thanks for any replies.

i beleive the small button is for adjustment.go to your local chevy dealer (if this is a factory alarm) and see the service manager ,see if they have the booklet on the alarm,or if they could send you in the right direction of who installs add on alarms for dealers in your area.hope this helps.

The small one is to open the hatch. And the doors locking whlie running is not the alarm. All 4th gen camaros doors lock while the car is running.
