84 camaro 305 4 brl.the check engine light stays on and someone told me it could be my oxygen sensor. So i bought one started to replace it and the whole wire is is gone could someone please tell me where this wire runs to so i can run a new wire.And will this have anything to do with a strong gas odor inside my car?? thanks

it could big tex!

it come's from the ECU. normaly it is in the wire buncle that run's from the passenger side of the firewall drop's down the top of the tranny and brak's out right above the tranny shifter linkage. i belive it is a white or pink wire(???? not sure about thewire???) and it should have a single weather pac conector.

i have all so seen them hang down the side of the block right at the bellhousing on the driver's and passenger side depending on the modle if i rember rightly the camaro is on the driver's side.
