i just got this motor complete for $60. plan to rebuild to replace the tired 305 in my brothers 89 firebird. i plan to keep the throttlebody to make things easy an keep good mileage an throttle response. thing is all the kits i find only list a 64-67 327 i dont have much knowledge of 327 but can do a 350 or a 400 in the dark any input would be great.

the 64-67 327 is slightly different than the 68-early 69 model. The earlier 327 uses a small journal crank, the later model uses the same journal sizes as any other 350 based engine. Summit Racing sells kits for the '68 327 that include pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, etc. and they are reasonably priced. Good luck.
