Doing this cold right now.

I'm thinking that 140-150psi is what it's supposed to be. I can't find it right now in my books.

So far -
No. 2=100
No. 4=110
No. 6=80
No. 8=90

Will try it warm tomorrow night with a squirt or two of oil into each cylinder

461 heads, if that makes any difference.

It's not burning any oil at all.

May end up being a weekend of pulling heads.

Thanks, Randy

100-110 sounds like 8.5:1 compression.

160 would be more like 9.2-9.4:1.

To get accurate comparative readings, a compression test needs to be done with the engine warm, throttle blocked wide open, and 4-5 compression strokes for each cylinder being measured.
