In a very quiet(?) time/area, just turn the ign switch to ign. Listen for a hum coming from the gas tank area. Might even use a cup and hold it onto the tank and listen. If there is no hum, then either a bad fuel pump relay or bad fuel pump. Usually, pump stays on for twenty seconds if engine isn't started.
I'd change the relay first, it's cheaper.
When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?
