Finally got time to install new jets and road test. It was a very short ride, just around the block but it appears the lean stumble is gone. But it also appears I overshot the mark on the jet size(just guessed
) and now it's running 12.7:1 at ~2,550 rpms. I'd like to get back to about 14.7-15.2 at that same cruising rpm.
So here's a recap.
-Jets are available from a few different sources.
is one place to purchase jets as well as http://www.weberjets.com/
The secret is you need to purchase jets for a Weber 32/36 carb. HOWEVER, Holley numbered the original jets in flow rate in cc/min. The Weber jets are numbered by oriface size in mm.
That's where this cross reference chart comes in.
Many of the list numbers for this carb in the link Wagonman posted above show 215 as the primary jet. Remember, that's 215 on the left side of the chart above(roughly 125 on the Weber side)
I have not received the book shown above yet, but I did purchase another book that includes some great info about this carb. It has very good explanations of the inner workings including the operation of the power valve, but does have an error or two. (They have a photo caption of the needle/seat and saying it's the powervalve)
I'll report on the other book after I receive it.
Tonight I just snagged another one of these carbs off ebay for the whopping sum of $5.50!
Seller didn't really know what it was. Had it listed as a 600 cfm.
