i just puchased a set of Borla headers for my 1969 z11 only to see that my steering box is in the way big time has anyone used these headers or have yuo had this problem

I assume you have the correst frame mounts and crossmember.You have to remove the steering box and put the header and box up together. Try that if it doesn't work then you will have to go to Hookers they seem to be the only ones that work with power steering.

My Hedman headers wouldn't go in without some hammer work, either, and that was with my manual steering box. It worried me until I posted here about it and got 10 replies that indicated that lots of folks had the some problem. steve laabs

I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD USE A SOLID MOTOR MOUNT WITH THE ORIGANAL FRAME MOUNT IS THIS TRUE

I have a set of these Borla stainless headers on my 69 SS with power steering. They did not fit well at all and I had to flatten a tube severely to make it clear the PS box. I did this because I did not have the time to send them back and I needed the car to drive to work. If you have the time, you should consider returning them and purchasing a set that is recommended on this site. I believe the Hooker Super-Comps get good ratings here.
