hi i have a 69 with 396 with ps and ac i went to replace the belts and i have to take the bolts out of the crank pulley to remove belts is this the way it is or do i have the wroung pulley the pulley has 3 grooves 1 for alt 1 for ps and 1 for ps and ac also the balancer looks as old has the car should i just replace it to be safe thanks

You should not have to take the crank pulley loose to remove your belts. Check to see where the accessories are positioned in their adjustment slots. If they are all the way in (loosest setting) and they belts wont come off. I would say that you have the wrong size belts.

I HAVE TO TAKE THE PULLEY LOOSE BECAUSE THE BELTS WILL NOT FIT UNDER THE PULLEY AND THAT X MEMBER THAT IS UNDER THE PULLEY
