There is a 12v power relay and a burnoff relay for MAF. When replacing the MAF, it's a good idea to replace the relays as well. Make sure the electrical system is in good shape - no shorts to ground, or bad ground leads. Make sure the connector pins aren't spread open.

Thanks, I replaced both relays and was still having the same problem. So I checked all the
connections and it was a pin that has the orange
10 gage wire that is constant at all times that
was lose.
Appreciate your help thanks!!

A friend of mine recently was firing up his 383 TPI for the first time and getting assulted with MAF errors. By looking at the schematic of the computer (internals) I saw it had a 1.6K ohm resistor pulling up the MAF signal line. So we installed a 1.6K ohm resistor accross the line and saw 2.5 volts accross the terminals. Conclusion is that the ECM and wiring were Ok. But yet when the MAF was hooked up we got no signal. After the third MAF, my friend looked in the end of the connector and found the terminals spread open. Must be a common issue. Fortunately for him, he got his money back on the MAF sensor.
