This is my question I have a 69 ragtop I am converting to power stearing and I thought while at it I would put in a tilt colum I bought a tilt colum from a local yard for $16 out of a 76 firebird I unbolted the colapsable shaft off the end but I need to put the metal part that bolts to the rag joint on the end of the colum both seem to be splined but I dont know how to get the end off the shaft. Thanks Tony

If I remember correctly you have to take the pinch bolt all the way out. The shaft has a half moon cut in it to keep the rag joint coupler from falling off if the bolt comes loose.
