The car starts and runs strong, but as soon as the temp reads 200 deg, the car just dies. when it cools, it is good to go, but just until it warms up. i tried removing the thermostat, but that didnt make a difference. i am stumped! any ideas? Thanks!

isn't the days of troubleshooting long gone, these computer controlled vehicles suck when they don't run right. First is your check engine light on??? probaly is, now first is first don;t worry about water temp, after it dies, check to make sure engine is getting fuel, and also check for spark, if it has both then more than likely you can rule out ignition module or coil or fuel pump/injector, i would look at either throttle position sensor or engine coolent sensor. i just had a 91 s-10 blazer that ran good when cold but hogged up and died when hot and would not start when hot, plugges scan tool in and up came a coolant sensor, went to diagnostic mode and scanned vehicle while running and coolent sensor was telling computer that it was -34 degrees out, making computer richen the engine which was hogging motor when at running temp(similer to have choke full on when at running temp), installed new 8 dollar sensor and it fixed it instantly, well before you go trying things have it plugged into a scan tool to make your life easier, goodluck
