Question

I need help my 86 iroc with the 305 tpi knocks like hell when I floor it even when its cold Ive checked all my smog equipment evrything seems to be in working order I even use supreme fuel which helps a little my car has 166k miles

what kind of knock is it? is it lower or upper? could be anything from a rod bearing to a valve spring.

Thank you It was detonation caused by the ignition modual advancing to much but now I have another problem does anybody know who would make a modual that doesnt retard before advancing mine retards 10deg before advancind 20deg I cant find a happy medium if I advance it its to much and If I retard it theres no power is this normal <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by boodlefoof:
