camarro quit on me the other day thougt i ran out of gas due to bad gas gauge that wasnt it , tried a new coil pack nope new rotter nope still no fire motor wines over but no spark any hints here could it be a short somewhere ? help its a 350 n my 68 camarro

electronic ignition , axcel , recently put the axcel coil on and new rotter cap , if that helps , thx

accel i mean and cap , took one ofmy plug wire off too c if spark comes out , and nothing , only thing i have not done yet is change spark plugs but if im not getting any spark then? it happen last week i was about to get on it at a dead stop and then it sputtered and spat then died a little like when you run out of gas that was my first thought but i was getting gas , thx for your time later

i would suggest checking your control module

Try to determine whethr it's fuel related or ignition related.

A cheap ignition test...use your inductive timing light on each plug wire while the engine is turning over and make sure your getting a strobe light from each.

A cheap fuel test...squirt some fuel into the carb (have fire extinguisher handy)...if she suddenly fires up after squirting, you'll need to trouble-shoot the carb, choke, etc.

Make sure you have power going in to the coil. Same thing recently happened to me. Wire had come out of the coil.

found it ignition module thx for the help , sorry dave didnt know this was english class , ill spell car the next time allways a wise guy some where huh? lol at you dave
