Question

my speedometer bounces alot, its fine when im not going anywhere but as soon as i start moving it bonces up and down...do i need to replace the whole thing? or are there just a couple striped gears i need replace or something?

duh...its a 68 camaro, with an automatic powerglide, and no tic-tac

probably the cable. if you can get it apart, and clean and lube the inner cable it'll be ok. I think it has to come out the top, which ain't easy.

Dry speedo cable. Lube it with white grease. It probably jumps more during cold weather right? Eventually if you don't lube it, it can crack and fray, they it's replacement time.

i live in california so i wouldnt realy know how the speedometer works in cold weather, heh...greased the sucker up, and it works perfect, thanks
