i have a 305 with tuned port injection and a 700r4 on it and some times when i hit the gas from a dead stop it dies a little then misses from about 500-1500 rpm's. i just put in new sparks plugs but could the be fouled all ready. i gaped them to .35 and then i thought i did it wround so i pulled them out and checked again so they are gaped right.
any one know whats going on?

If your car is equipped with an electronic ignition, the gap should be .045 not .035.

I Must be falling a sleep at the wheel here but I assumed you have an HEI. Check your dwell if you have points, they could be worn out.

What year are we working on? Granted the later electronics were .035 earlier .045.

Most I have used were AC 45 plugs which are a hot plug which the tune port needs.
