I bought a not running '68 327 2bbl camaro last month. In order to get it to run I must put all spark plug wires one spot counter clockwise on the cap and rotate distributor as far as I can counter clockwise. Can somebody please tell me what I need to do to make it right/ Thanks, Jim.

You need to advance the distributor one or two teeth on the cam gear. Take off the cap and note the rotor position. Loosen the hold down and slide it back or remove it. Pull the distrbutor up far enough to get it off the cam gear while keeping one hand on the rotor so you can feel it disengage. Turn the rotor one tooth clockwise and drop the distributor back in. It is sometimes neccesary to take the distributor all the way out and, using a long straight blade screwdriver, turn the oil pump drive shaft clockwise about 1/8 turn. Go one tooth at a time until you get it where you want it.
