91 camaro sometimes when i go to crank my car after turning the key over i have to wait ten minutes before it will crank,i've tried a new coded key and iginiton switch. pleeeese help.

let me make sure i understand you turn the key and then 10 seconds later the starter engages and the engine turns over and starts. if that is the case i would be looking at the starter wiring for corossion cracks loose connections, is this the original starter or has it been replaced. a quick test to eliminate the starter would be to put car on stands leave the key in run position an carefully jump the starter between the power wire an the smaller post for the solenoid if it starts right off i would look else were be carefull an good luck

thanks but it is not the wires for the starter,it shows vats security problem ,it will crank after ten minutes.
