Question

Is it hard to replace a radiator in a '89 Camaro RS, V8, 305?

No.

The hardest part is keeping coolant from puking everywhere when you disconnect the upper and lower hoses. Make sure you drain all you possibly can first from the bottom valve, the rest of the repair should be pretty straight forward.

If you have some common tools, (sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers, etc) a safe way to get the front of the car off the ground, and some common mechanical knowledge, you shouldn't need any help.

Last weekend I replaced the radiator in my 88 camaro. I've got average mechanical knoweldge and it took me about two hours to change out. Only pain was where the fan shroud screws to the frame just under the radiator. Otherwise it was a breeze.
