My gauge all of a sudden stopped working the other day. Needless to say i ran out of gas, and i thought i was getting great gas mileage because the needle wasnt moving. anyway, the needle is stuck on 1/2 full and hasnt moved in over a week. What could be causing this. I hope i dont have to buy a new sending unit. Thanks.

the float in the tank might be stuck. Mine does this sometimes in the winter. Try banging on the bottom of the gas tank a little bit and see if it has any effect.

Follow the troubleshooting procedure at the Team Camaro Tech Reference section. https://www.camaros.net/techref/ftecref18.html It helped me.
