just rebuilt my 4150 650cfm. basiclly cleaned, and replaced all gaskets.
fired up the car, and i can't get it to idle.
just wondering if maybe the floats were set too low it would cause this? (fuel level was 1/8" below the sight holes.)

Float level should be set so bumping the fender causes a dribble but running, nothing spills out. Do your idle mixture screws effect a change when you open or close them?

Spooge,

Check your gasket between the baseplate and the main body. The holley rebuild kits come with several ones. One will work and the other will block the idle feed holes. I know this from experience. The gasket should have a hole for every hole in the baseplate and body that connect through the gasket.

i was thinkin the same thing, but wasn't sure if the gasket would cause the problem. i found the original, and one of the leftovers from the kit, that match'd. looks like i used the wrong gasket.

i'll post results later inm the week, sincee i keep the car 30miles away from home, and i have lots a work.

Thanks for the replies/help !
