Hey guys,
I had a wiper motor that wouldn't work at all, so I drilled out the factory crimps (per the instructions in the service manual). There was a broken lead inside the housing. I also saw that the park contact was bent, so I corrected it at the same time. I said all that to say that you can fix the problem if you want to get into the gear housing. You can use short machine screws and nuts to replace the drilled out crimps.
