My 1986 camaro 2.8 lt sport coupe is runing at very low oil pressure some times under 20 i just changed the oil and it has plenty, it also idles at very low rmps some times so low it shuts off any ideas?

is the oil pressure low at idle? if it is, you need to turn the idle speed up to 800 or so, and see what it does then. might be time for a tune up to make it run right.

If its a MPFI. you cant turn the Idle up (correct me if I'm wrong).
How many miles does the car have?
My guess would be Crankshaft/Main Bearings.

Try a straight 40 wt. Sounds like your clearances have increased over time.
