have you checked the fuel pressure?
if its high then youve got a bad pressure regulater. but i think youve probably got a vacum leak at the upper plenum or fuel rail.

actually i did check the fuel pressure and it was right at 40 psi....ive also checked the MAP sensor, computer,TPS sensor and a few others...but im wondering about the timing...i had the distibuter out of the car and i might not have dropped it in just right...cause i found some lititure on it and i have my number one plug wire in the wrong spot..but i did drop it in to where the rotor button is right on the no.1 wire but ist still on the wrong spot on the cap...could that maybe cause it? Thanks a bunch

yes-yor timing needs to be for sure dead on before even thinking about other possibilities. let us know how it goes.

Thumbs up

well i redid my timing and i got it running pretty good...but while it is idleing it has a slight miss and runs a little rich.. but when i drivwe itr around the parking lot a few times and get out and check the exaust its not rich then until i let it idle for about a minute then begins to get rich...because it doesnt miss at a higher rpm like when im driving it....i havnt tried spraying carb cleaner or anything around the injectors to see if i have a leak yet or not...will try that tommorrow...kinda wondering if the injector i replace uisnt wrong also...but hey its getting closer....thanks again for trying to help me get this problem solved

well i discovered today that it runs real rough at adle and high rpm's until it warms up...then it starts to run better...but it idles about 9000 after the engine is warmed and about 12 to 14 when cold....but there were no leaks around the injectors...but still misses at idle.. but not as bad at higher rpm....also put new temp sensor for the computer in...and still no good...see the car was like this when ui bought it...thats why i dont know much about it...the odometer shows only 92,000 miles but then again the speedo dont work and its hard to tell how long ago it quit...thanks again........James
