I just installed Autometer Phantom guages in my '69 w/327.

I took the car for a bit of road trip, and had the following readings...

Oil 30-40 psi
Water Temp 180-200
Voltmeter 15-16 Volts

Are these normal readings?? It seems to me that the water might be running a little high, as wel as the volts!??!?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Oil and Water look OK, volts are a little high (should be around 14.5 max); I'd check system voltage with a digital voltmeter vs. the gauge reading.

Agree with JohnZ. What does the oil pressure go up to under load. With a high volume I believe between 70 to 80 psi is good. Volts
do sound a little high. Temp. is good , but what will they be in the middle of summer( of course it's very simple to swop thermostats, though).

Thanks alot guys! I'll double check the volts, and I'm already getting ready to swap out the thermostat.

Thanks again!
