Smile windows/ radio

Hi
I hope that some one can help me.! I have a camaro z28 a1999 year
this problem has been going on for some time . when your driving down the road, and go to push the button to roll down the windows ,( no matter what side ) the radio and the windows will quit. They may be off any where from 5 min to 3 hours . When they come back on they may work from here on out . Or they may do it again. Has any one had this
problem ? Will some one drop me an e mail or something , Thanks.

Re: windows/ radio

Welcome, Gordon.
First thing I suggest you do is buy a Haynes manual for the Camaro. It will have an electrical wiring diagram and give you a place to start.

Could be a couple of things, I suspect the power source for both accessories is from the same point and may be a loose connection.

Have a meter, as in a test volt meter?

Re: windows/ radio

Hum without any knowledge of a 1999 wiring diagram, it sounds like a circuit breaker kicking due to thermal overload.

Why the radio would be on that same circuit I don't know. The breaker might just be weak with age or the window tracks may need lube, or the motors need service or replacement.

I would find a diagram and track both the radio and the windows and see if it is the same circuit, then swap out the breaker. It maybe just that simple.
