Unhappy

I have a 69 CAmaro RS with a mild 355ci mild cam, 350 turbo with 2500 stahl. My problem is at 4000 rpms it starts to spudder and almost back fire it sort of pops. It is very sluggesh getting to 4000 as well but if u only go 1/2 throddle it's fine. I have an edelbrock 650. What do u think it could be? I set the timing at 8 degrees inital. I am really thinking it has somthing to do with the carb. I am going racing this weekend and really need to fix this problem. Thanks for all your help.

Fuel, either the secondaries are extremely lean or you have a delivery problem. Check the fuel filter, pump, lines, or anything that could be restricting the flow.

Cool

Well I figured out what this one was.... my vacume advance was stuck shut so when I would get on it my timming would retard all the way back to 20 degrees because the distributer wouldn't advance. It is amazing what a $7.00 and a smart guy at auto zone can do for you. She runs like a champ again!
