I need help on my a/c can anyone help me? He is a link, as I posted it on the wrong forum I guess.
I am getting a moaning sound inside the cab, only when a/c is on. I just replaced the blower motor (located passenger side, under the engine hood against firewall) and didn't help. I also replaced the serp. belt, new tensioner pulley, idler wheel, alt./power steering bracket. The compressor was replaced with dryer in 01/01. Could it be going bad, the compressor??

PS. The sound does go away, when I get on freeway or high speeds, it only makes noise at idle.

Sounds like you may have an A/C line grounding out on the frame or on some metal somewhere..And it is making a pulsing type noise that is transmitting into the passangers compartment.I run into this alot at work.(buick dealership) I would follow all the lines and make sure that they are clear of everything and not laying up against something.....hope this helps

This is called "compressor moan", and was a common complaint in the 60's and early 70's on many Chevys; dealer TSB fix was to add a brace to stiffen the compressor mounting bracket arrangement.
