I'm not really sure how to discribe it...I think it's the alternator that's doing it. But I've also been told that a vacuum leak could cause something like that. I'm pretty sure I put the T.P.I. together correctly and there aren't any leaks. I'm going to replace the alternator...was just wondering if anyone else had any thoughts?

I hate it because it sounds like I'm supercharged or something.

Just another idea: Maybe your pcv valve is rattling?

Can you disconnect the belt and run the motor (for only a few seconds) to check for noise?

there are two things that can sound like a blower 1 is the alt. and the other is your toqure convertor

do you have a clutch fan ??? whem mine started to go sounded "just like a supercharger".........

power stering vains sound like that to take belt off start engine see if goes away also s
sounds stupid but take bar of soap and when engine is running hold soap to underside of belt this will take the sqeak out of a belt
