Question

I have a 92 camaro rs, 305 5-speed. It wont start. I want to eliminate the nuetral safety switch before changing the solenoid. Where is the Clutch neutral safety switch physically located on this car, what does it look like, and can I "jump" it out for testing purposes???????

its called a neutral start switch its located by the clutch pedal.

you might want to check the ignition switch on the car you have to lower the steering wheel to get to it

Assuming all connections and battery are O.K. It could be a bad connection, or the starter brushes or solenoid is worn. While you hold the key on "start" have someone tap the starter with a small hammer. If it goes then, it's probably the starter.
P.S. Be careful!

Just hotwire the starter. 2 wires on the solenoid, one big, one little. Use a suitable tool to connect them together. If the starter is good it will crank! (don't jump, it makes a sizeable spark, and tape up your tool so you don't accidently ground the battery, that makes a really big spark.) Tape your tool, huh, that sounds somewhat obscene...
