I had a wicked vibration coming right up through my shifter. Turned out the pressure plate had shifted inside the housing. Ended up replacing the thing and its been real smooth since.

Yes, I had a problem with the Centerforce pressure plate's centrifugal weights. They at times would not quite find a balance. I have also seen them loose a weight and work great, but with a vibriation.

Try to put some movement on the weights with the end of a hammer (wood end) into the clutch fork window and chech to see if they move freely.

Thumbs up

well I am glad I am not the only one who has trouble with those centerforce weights!! I had already removed the weights and have run the car since and it seems to work ok, I just wont be running my slicks for now. Even though I have removed the weights I still have a vibration it is less though. I think I will have to go with Patys sugestion and replace the whole pressure plate assy. Thanks guys!!

I have Center Force Dual Friction in my 73 Z28 for about 4 months now. I have had no trouble with it. I thought that it would be too much clutch for the car (basically stock) and I would hate the thing, but I think itís the best thing that Iíve done to the car so far.:O
