Question

Has anyone changed a in-line fuel filter in on an EFI type set-up? From reading the manufactures manual, it states that these filters are under constant pressure, even when the ignition is off. Is the pressure a true concern or is this something that can be done without special tools? Thanks in advance-Dino

They have to post that warning to try to keep people from getting hurt.Yes they are under pressure that can squirt fuel in your eyes but if you wrap a rag around fitting and loosen it til it discharges you'll be fine.you can also unplug fuel pump then crank engine for a few seconds to get the pressure out of line.If you have a fuel pressure gauge with a release button you can do that too.

YEAH SSCHEVYFAN IS RIGHT HE`S HIGH TECH
LOOK -FOR THE BACK YARD JOE JUST FIND THE
SCHRADER VALVE ON THE FUEL LINE
AT THE INTAKE ,INSERT A THIN EDGE TOOL AND PUSH UNTIL THE PRESSURE DROPS ,IT WON`T SQUIRT HIGH OR
BAD SO WEAR SAFETY GLASSES ANYWAY,
THEN
CRAWL UNDER THE CAR AND USE A BUCKET SO THAT WHEN YOU
REMOVE THE FILTER THE FUEL
UNDER LOW PRESSURE WILL CATCH INTO THE BUCKET.DO YOUR RE +RE
IF YOU DO THE JOB THE WAY HIGH TECH DOES IT
THEN YOUR A PRO.
IS EASY GO FOR IT.................
