Unhappy

I need help diagnosing a car problem. I have a 1996 V6 camaro. When I shift into 2,3,and 4 gear my car drives fine. However, when I exelorate, my car tries to cut out and gives me hesitation. Is this a fuel filter, fuel pump, or fuel injection problem.

Thanks

I would start with the easy stuff. Replace the fuel filter and stick in a can of Chevron Techron with the next fillup. If it still does it you may have a bad plug wire. Plug wires will not always misfire during normal operation but will under acceleration.

Good Luck,

John

Check your fuel pressure, your fuel pump might be going bad.

I had an Astro van and an '89 RS do the same thing, both times it was a bad coil. Wes
