i have an 86 camaro with tpi and my cruise does not work. i think maybe the switch? or maybe a vacuum line.

First check the fuse and relay. but

if you have tilt steering, pull the plasic cover off the bottom of the dash, (the fuse box cover is also attached to this. at the base of the Steering column where the t/S and hazard wires and all come out look for the Cruise wire, (mines Orange w white stripe) but yours may be different, check the vacuume area for the cruise solonoid and match up the wire color, (or look in the chiltons manual) many times because of the tilt feature and wandering feet, the wire becomes stretched or cut , I had to re splice mine in order for it to work again on my 91,

where is the fuse for the cruise at?

the fuse for the cruise is labeld "CT" its a 5 amp fuse (at least on mine, yours may be different, check your fuse panel cover ) located inside the car below the steering wheel/column area , there should be a little door that pops off , the fuses are in there.
