Have a 97 Z28 with the LT1. As you depress the accelerator, the car will bog. Seems most during low idle acceleration. If you double pedal the car, problem goes away. Also, once car gets up to operating temp, problem goes away. Took to dealer and they told me that previous owner has cleaned out the converters and this is the cause of the problem. This is a dual converter car and both converters have been cleaned out. Dealer says that this has affected the Oxygen sensors and that is causing this problem. Am planning on putting new converters and sensors in, but looking for other ideas.

If this is happening before the engine gets above @160 then the system is probably in "Open Loop" operation and the O2 Sensors are not in the picture yet.
If no 'Codes' are being set for O2 Sensor operation I would check;
1.) Fuel Pressure Reg. for pressure and Reg. Diaphram for leaks (look for fuel in vac. line).
2.) Check the TPS - a failing or weak TPS can cause a failure to accelerate issue. They are very reliable but do fail. The 'pedaling' you are doing to overcome the 'Bog' may be a sign the TPS is getting weak.
3.) Lastly - a MAS that that is sensing higher than normal air pressure will also cause intermitent problems. A good shop should be able to test the MAS.

Hope some of this helps.
