check engine codes to get a better idea of what it is

it could be an o2 sensor or coolant sensor or a maf sensor well anways check the engine codes first

I do get codes 33,34, and 36 rarely which from what I hear has to do with the MAF but would that cause it to backfire all the time.

yes it could cause backfire becuase the computer takes all the info from the sensors on the engine to calculate the best gas air ratio to send to each cylinder and if one sensor is off or broken the calculations wont come out right.

dont think about discontecting the computer just fix it right. it runs alot better then it deos in limp home mode
