<<<<HELP>>>> I need to know where the cooling fan switch is on an 1986 IROC-Z with tune port injection??? or how the cooling fans are controlled, turned on, etc. There is no switch of wire for a switch on the passenger side head, the only 2 switches are in the front of the intake. These are the ECM coolant sensor and the cold start sensor. I have replaced the fan relay, temp gauge sensor, put a bigger radiator in (3 rows 17 fins per inch) and new thermostat. Fans do not come on untill 240 degrees and off at 195 degrees. I need HELP thanks.

The temperature switch for the ecm is the one that controls the fan coming on. It is located in the front of the intake on my tbi, if it is not there on your car go down to the gm dealer and ask them for that switch, they have a diagram on their computer to tell you the location. First I would check out your actual temperature with a laser thermometer if you haven't already.
