Question

Hello,
I was having problems with my TPS switch on my 84 z-28 and ended up having it replaced along with a carb. rebuild. The problem is I think it still may not work. How do you check to see if the TPS is working properly, considering it dosn't trip a ignition light. I also purchesed a little electronic piece from summit that is supposed to plug into the TPS switch and eliminate the hesitation at 70% open throttle. Well this little module has a red and green light to indicate wether it is active or not. I hooked it up after the rebuild and the lights dont come on. I need to make sure it is the TPS not the electronic module, before I rteturn it to Summit.
thank you,
-Tim

You either have to probe the tps wires for the proper voltage, or use a scanner thru the ALDL terminal under the dash.
