i have a 92 camaro 305 tbi and the fuel pump went out so i droped the tank and then installed an externel pump <ran a hose down into tank> the pump has more than enough psi and is flowing to the tbi but when i crank it over no fuel is coming out of the injectors.

i have tested and done: changing the injectors,made sure they had a 12v, new fuel pressure reg, checked all fuses , re set computer.

i am getting fuel up there but nothing is coming out. what else can i do ??? or check ? ? also i noticed when i turn the key over my Service Engine Soon light doesnt come on like normal.

check the ECU fuse. you are not getting power to the ECU. why i do not know, what did you do with the wireing for the original pump? did you use it for the replacement?

Does your key have one of those chips in it, that could be the problem, I have a friend who lost the chip and couldn't figure why the car wouldn't start and it was the chip that was missing. Give it a look.

sounds like no injector pulse. connect a noide light (or a 194 marker bulb) to the injector harness (at the injectors) and crank the engine. the bulb should flash. if it does'nt, check for power at one side of the injector with the key on (constant 12v), the other wire is a ecm ground control. If your ses light does not come on for the bulb check, the ecm has lost power or partial power like ilbl8 says. if the fuse is good,(ecm) check all the power and grounds at the ecm plugs (there will probably be a couple of each).

also did you check the fuel press? i think it should be about 13-15 psi on tbi. hope this is of some help

its fixed guys!!! it was the inline fuse and its running great now. thanks for all the help.
