88 camaro 2.8 v6: Every once in a while my throttle cable gets sticky or hard to push in when I step on the peddle. One time my car wouldn't even shift out of first, but I pulled over, turned off the car and pumped the accelerator and when i turned it back on my car was fine. Now every time it gets hard to accelerate i just pull over and stomp the peddle. Is there something I can do myself to fix it? Really would appreciate the help!

Try some WD-40 on your throttle linkage.

isolate the problem first. is it the cable or the throttle body? disconnect it and run the pedal a few times. if its the cable replace it, that could get serious fast. last thing you want is to wreck a car aver an inexpensive cable.
