I came up with 73'-84 on a 454 open chambered ,122 cc chamber. Sorry no application.

You should be using a plug with the TS suffix, as in tapered seat, then it should seal with no problems.

First of all, you need to check to see whether or not your heads are for tapered seat plugs. If you have tapered seat plugs where you really need gasketed, that could cause your leak. My books don't tell me which seat those heads are machined for.

Secondly, the TS does not stand for tapered seat. The "T" is for tapered seat, the "S" is for extended tip.

Kurt is right T is for tapered and the S is for extended reach. The tapered seat plugs started appearing around 71'. I haven't used AC Delco spark plugs in a while.

Check the seats on your head as Kurt suggested, a tapered counterbore will be easily seen at the spark plug hole.
