have an 84 camaro i just recieved was puttin an older model 350 into it. One problem is exhaust issues. I have to use camaro manifolds it seems as i dont know any other 2 bolt manifold styles that would work and allow me to have an oil dipstick. the camaro ones wont allow dipstick the exhaust dumps down right where its located. Tried lookin at usin older better flowin 3 bolt styles and shortening y pipe but that seems to be more work than needed changuing flange bolts as the camaro one is longer from base to manifold and slightly wider. so my question is just try8in to find out if there is any way one can use a 2 bolt manifold from somthing gm produced that would work with the stock y pipe and also allow me to have a way of checking oil wich is kinda usefull. The only other alternitive we could find is to buy a set of headers and y pipe setup that you can get from i think summit or jegs so if somone could steer me in an easier way to do this it would help...
Nothing real powerful yet.... 84 Camaro, 350, Qjet, non computer, Edelbrock cam and intake...hope soon for new motor...or rebuild on this one. NEED MO POWER!!!

Welcome to the Club !! Lots of good people here and ideas. I would suggest maybe into looking at a Lokar dipstick since they are flexible. If going for the Lokar d/s, I'd look for some old 327-300HP Ram exhaust manifolds. They are 2.5 in dia outlet and the next step just before headers. One would have to route the plug wires from underneath the manifold, as in pre-'66 rather than over the top as in post'67.
