I have a 1985 Camaro Berlinetta with a 2.8 v-6. The in-tank electric fuel pump was replaced a few months ago by a GM dealership. Ever since I have noticed the car has to crank several times before it starts when hot after sitting for a while. The car starts right away when cold or if it has only been sitting for a few minutes hot. If the car sits for half an hour or more, it takes serveral cranks to start the engine. If I leave the car sitting overnight after driving it all day, it starts right away in the morning. I have read a lot of messages talking about a check valve in the fuel pump being the problem. Is there a check valve in this fuel pump?
Any ideas what the problem may be?
