Question

I have an 85 camaro with a V6 2.8 and i have been having some trouble with the brake light. It keeps going on and off and i can't figure the problem out cause the back brakes don't work now, but the lights goes on and off every five mins. or so. I looked at the lines and they look fine. Any ideas on what the problem might be. The fluid level in the resivoir seems to be fine and doesn't drain. Any ideas. Thanks for the help.

You use a plural and a singular in your explanation. Is the light(s) the dash light or the tail lights? If the back brakes are not working there may be a problem in the master cylinder and that may trigger the brake lamp.

Are you saying the back brakes don't work? How do you know they don't work?
Are they drums?

i took my car in for a tune-up and that was before i started having problems with it, and when i came back to pick it up the mechanic siad that the back brakes worn't working and he didn't have time to look at it. So on my way home i noticed that there was not much stopping power, and yes i have rear drum brakes.
