In North Carlina I believe it goes to the carb. In the north it goes to the intake . Preasure varies. The lower connection is for blow off from the valve covers. I said to heck with it and stuck mine on the lower for ease since I don't use pollution.
Ya'll from Goldsburo? I comed from dar early 60's.
Welcome to the board. Rais'n dill?

Get a crane adjustable vacuum advance and hook it to manifold vacuum.
