I'm currently running 396 with close chamber
high compression heads with 2.19 intake and
1.88 exhaust, sig erson hyd cam with 535 lift
9.00/1 comp with a 750 holley double-pump. Rear end is 3.55 posi with 4sp muncie rock crusher. I'm thinking of upgrading to a 427 with roller cam. Will I notice any difference and is it worth the expense? Should I get the aluminum heads? What is the best comp ratio for the street?

You will notice a lot more torque and power 427s work better all the way around. The bore on a 396 is really too small for that big a valve and it shrouds it
