My small block runs fine to about 3K RPM but does not want to go any faster, or at least will not deliver much power after that. This has not been an issue or even noticed until recently because I have been in break-in. Now, with the motor broken in I suspect

350 with 8.5:1 and factory TRW performance cam used by GM. New Rochester Quadrajet in good shape. PERTRONIX Solid-State Electronic Ignition conversion. Plugs, wires, cap, etc.. are all new with zero left to change. I can only suspect that the distributor needs to be curved and that I screwed it up by changing the curve springs.

I know I can have it put on a scope and checked, but seldom get the time to bring it in. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Pertronix is a system that replaces the points and rotor to give solid state ignition. Gives orginal performance look with modern performance.

I have tried their trouble shooting suggestions.

A simple and likely fix is to ensure your secondaries aren't opening too soon. Tighten the tortion spring a tad and see if that helps before getting too deep in ignition etc.
