O.k. guys the problem I'm having on my 1991 Z28, is that the a/c compressor is always on and running making the engine work harder than normal, even if the a/c inside is off the compressor still runs. Can anyone tell me what I can do?

Are you sure it is running the pulley always turns but the clutch between it and the compressor only locks up when you have the air on.

I am sure that the compressor is on even if the a/c is off inside, two different car electronics have told me, and I disconected the a/c from the engine and I could see the difference in performance from the engine when the a/c was disconected.
