i just bought an 82 Z28. the car itself is good besides the fact it needs some interior work. it's a special ordered 305 under the hood and it has a edelbrock 650 performer on top of an edelbrock intake manifold. every time i gun it from stop, it bogs brifly then hauls tale all the way down the street. how do i correct this bog?

Cool

Increase squitter size by two until gome.

I.E., start with 25, go to 27, then 29, then 31, etc. until gone. Check timing first.

I agree with Everett, the carb is not getting enough gas when you accelerate, by bumping the size of the squirters, more gas will be delivered keeping the car accelerating smoothly. I don't know about Edelbrock, but the squirters on Holleys come out real simply with just one screw.

Are you refering to the squirter's as the pump discharge nozzle's?
